The transition to Lead-Free
As a respected Australian Plumbing wholesale supplier, we wanted to bring to your attention an important update regarding Austworld's Plumbing Products and our transition to Lead-Free. Effective May 1, 2023, we initiated a transition period for identified products to comply with these lead-free requirements. We are committed to providing you with regular updates on products transitioning to 'Lead Free' status, ensuring transparency throughout this process. Austworld Current Lead Free Certifications:
- AS3718:2021: Water supply - Tapware
- AS3688:2016: Water supply and gas systems - Metallic Fittings and End Connectors
Product Codes
For all Lead-Free items, we will generate new product codes, descriptions, and barcodes. To ensure a seamless transition for our customers, we will incorporate the designated "LF" into existing codes, where applicable.

Stock Transition
Our transition will be meticulously executed to bolster the supply chain and reduce any potential disruptions for our customers. As we phase out our non-lead-free stock, it will be replaced with lead-free alternatives. We will keep you informed through regular updates on our lead-free transition process.
Please see our first and second round of products that have already transitioned to lead free and are available for purchase. We encourage customers to adjust product codes on purchase orders as necessary to ensure a smooth transition. Packaging
Our Returns Policy
Austworld will manage inventory levels within our control to avoid surplus redundant product past the transition period. Austworld is not able to control customer inventory levels during the transition period, therefore requests to return “Non Lead Free” products will not be accepted. We appreciate your support and your business as we transition into this next phase.
