Austworld's commitment to our community and Queensland extends to our long-term partnership supporting the Gold Coast SUNS AFL Club since its beginnings in 2011.We are proud to be one of the longest-serving organisations connected to the SUNS, with our support extending back into the club’s foundation year in 2008. The Gold Coast SUNS marked a monumental expansion of the game as the league's first new organisation in almost 20 years.
In 2024, we proudly announced our contract extension with the club until the end of 2027. Our on-going multi-asset partnership extension continues to feature the Austworld brand across the SUNS Apparel, advertising across the People First Stadium, naming rights to the elite training and administration facility, the Austworld Centre and the Austworld Centre Oval which has become a well-known facility, hosting AFL, VFL and AFLW practice matches, training session as well as SUNS academy fixtures.

Gold Coast SUNS Chief Executive Mark Evans said Austworld had been an outstanding supporter of the SUNS for many years. “We have had the privilege of having Austworld in our corner since the early days of the club’s inception,” Mark Evans said. “Since then Austworld have continually added layers of support to our club and we are proud to now have a multi-asset partnership which includes the Austworld Centre – a reflection of their impact on the SUNS.
Austworld and the SUNS have joined forces for several important causes over the years, including collaboration for Movember, Supporting Women in Construction and most recently in 2024 the Fight MND's Big Freeze 10 Campaign with Austworld donating to watch our very our Dylan Dyball and Liam Gist get dunked! The club fundraised over $10,000 and drew in a list of VIPs to support the cause including GC SUNS CEO Mark Evans, Senior Coach Damien Hardwick, Ian Healy, Ali Day, Tammy Hembrow, Alex Rance, Spida Everitt, Steve Titmus, Amanda Abate, Chelsea Paige (Besties Footy), Coop & Kylie and club partners Bruce Coulson (Kool Beanz SUNS) and Darren Nutt (Ganden Engineers).
